M/S Saimaa Margareta is a stylish and well-equipped passenger ship, and is accompanied by the presentable Sister Amanda, suitable for small groups. We are able to provide catering from our own kitchen in high quality for different occasions. The catering is made directly from high-quality ingredients and we strive for a home-based taste in everything possible. The interiors of the vessels are equipped with Wellisair air purification devices. From our indoor spaces with outdoor decks and landscape windows, you can enjoy the most beautiful lake scenery in Finland with a moving terrace atmosphere!
MS Saimaa Margareta has been named as a tribute to Saimaa and a Finnish woman, with Sister Amanda sailing as her sister from summer 2024.
Saimaa has a colourful history from the Ice Age to the present day. The origin of the waterway, the Saimaa ringed seal, the time trail from Stone Age settlement to the present day with its battles and defences, the opening and mapping of the waterway into the present day all form a whole, the understanding of which lays the foundation for the spirit of Saimaa. We tell the story of Saimaa on themed and scheduled cruises, tied to the itinerary and, if desired, adapted to the programme, also on charter cruises.
Both vessels operate from Lappeenranta passenger harbour, MS Saimaa Margareta right next to the harbour gate, in front of the flag stand (Satamatie 1, Lappeenranta). Sister Amandan operates from the pier of the sandcastle from the pavilion (Satamatie 13, Lappeenranta). Our range of cruises includes charter, theme and scheduled cruises. Charter cruises can be booked all year round, themed cruises will be sold in our online shop from December and scheduled cruises will start in June.
